Andy Kachor is a documentary filmmaker, video editor, graphic designer, actor, and community media developer. He is based in Washington, DC and has a BFA in media production from NYU.
In October 2010, Andy became the Media and Communications Coordinator for the health advocacy organization NOFAS, the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.
Andy played the lead role in the short film Andy and Zach, an official selection of the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
In July 2010, Andy completed a year of national service as a member of the Digital Arts Service Corps, a branch of AmeriCorps. He served as a media and technology developer for Appalshop, a community arts and education organization based in rural Appalachian Kentucky.
He directed the documentary film A Spirit of Dance and edited the Student Academy Award - nominated short film Picture Day.
Andy Kachor directed a promotional video for the non-profit organization Girls Gotta Run. Andy worked on the feature documentary “Crude” as an assistant editor.
